Two modes
Swiss German deserves more than a generic German model.
Most general speech-recognition models are optimised for Standard German and often struggle with Swiss dialects. LocalTranscript includes a model dedicated to Swiss German speech.
It runs on your computer, separates speakers and turns spoken Swiss German into readable written Standard German you can search, quote and export.
About Swiss German transcriptionOne meeting. Several languages. Still one clear transcript.
Swiss teams switch between German, French, Italian and English mid-meeting. LocalTranscript separates the speakers, transcribes each contribution and labels the language of every segment.
Segments stay in the language that was spoken. The app does not translate them.
About multilingual meetingsSwiss German and the multilingual mode are two separate settings. Pick the one that matches the recording; both run locally.
From recording to structured notes.
step 01
Record or import.
Capture the meeting where it happens, or drop in an existing audio or video file. Everything lands in a local library on your disk.
step 02
Transcribe and separate speakers, locally.
Local models transcribe the audio and split it by speaker. Rename a speaker once and every past transcript picks up the new name; recurring voices are recognised in later meetings.

Turn the transcript into decisions and actions.
AI Actions produce structured output from a meeting: a summary, action items or your own template. They run on the local model by default.

The models download once during setup and run on your machine. Three ways to run a transcription:
Swiss German
The dedicated Swiss German model. It transcribes dialect speech into written Standard German, locally; one current model option.

Private by architecture, not by policy.
Recording, transcription, speaker separation, voiceprints and summaries all run on this machine. The few connections the app can make are documented, logged and blockable.
- Meeting audio, transcripts and voiceprints have no upload path by default.
- Hard Offline Mode blocks every connection before a DNS lookup happens.
- The in-app network log records every outbound attempt and exports as JSON.
- Cloud is opt-in: connect your own provider if you want one, including Infomaniak in Switzerland.
